Default Pet Colour Variations

In the wild animals can have unique markings that make that animal who they are. Now if this were to happen in GW in would make your pet more unique and yours rather than it being say just another wolf. I'm taking more about the common pets like lions, tigers, crabs etc. not phoenix's or black widows. So for these more common pets it could be a stripe of white on their muzzle or for crabs they could have different coloured shells or markings on them.
I'd just like to see this in the future so pets are more unique, these variations would a be random so the same variant would rarely occur.

Any thoguhts?

/signed. Or even an armour system for pets wouldn't be too horrible imo.

So despite all the other critical problems in Guild Wars your suggesting they spend resources on something trivial like this?

Great idea for gw2, for gw1, not so much.

Also I do like the idea stated above about pet armor also, but I can't see a crab or rat in any armor and take it seriously lol. I love the crab pet but....it would just be silly with a little helmet and such.

@ above state, oh yea, the game is sooo critically messed up its unplayable >_>
Seriously, there's only like graphical errors for SOME armor, and some skill balances left for all I care about.

Not to be inserted into GW1. So many things that we want and needed to be fixed but that comes tolate or never will come to GW1 in my opinion. Hairdresser, Xunlai Market/Tradehouse ect.

But it's a great idea for GW2!
To be able to put a marking on your pet like the Guild tag or Seal. Kinda like Rollerbeetle Racing!^^

Yeah, would be nice for GW2, since pets can't have armor mixes that can make them unique, instead, give them some variation in skin color like pokémon stadium did

never really thought about this, but sounds kinda cool. Can't see it happen in gw1 though.

would be nice if my lions mane actually grew in and he looked more like an adult lion than a cub....or one that just got a bad hair cut....
and yeah would also be nice if they had like a choice of marking on your pet (say different color schemes like brown fur or golden fur or grey fur...or spots/lines etc)....that would be cool.

weapons no....armor ...no.....

Sorry, I can't be on board with any idea that starts off "Well, this is the way it is in real life, so it should be that way in Guild Wars." News Flash: Guild Wars is not real life. Go outside if you want animals with unique markings on them.

Yeh cos here in England there are giant crabs/chickens/lizards walking around everywhere, especially ones I can make follow me around everywhere and attack people...Yeh an RPG game revolved around customisation, what better way to customise your ranger than to pimp your pet up.

i kinda like this idea actually. add some variation and diversity to all the pets out there. honestly have you only ever seen a generic gray wolf, or a tan tiger? Theres far more colored animals than that

But it is too late for GW, put it in GW2.

As others have said, a good idea for GW2, but not GW1. Instead, for GW1, just add a few more pets (like making the Moss Spider and Rabbit in pre tameable!)

Yeh I kinda knew this would be a no no for GW1, but if I put it in GW2 suggestions who'd actually bother reading it . I love the idea of havin moss spiders/rabbits for pet, would cause no hassle really, but most spiders are kinda stuck in pre so they'd have to give them new spawn points which might be too much effort...

I think this would be a good idea for Guild Wars 2. Professions have their own unique armor sets that look different, so why not some kind of "armor" or something for your pet? Perhaps it could also add to its damage reduction if necessary.
